Embankment

Last night after work a few friends and I took the Bakerloo line to Embankment. The view is amazing, across the bridge you can see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye all lit up. We had an amazing dinner by the river. We went to an Italian pub and the pizza was delish! I forgot my camera so I couldn't take any pictures but above you can see exactly what the view was like.

Paris je t'aime

Our weekend Paris trip was quite the success- we saw so much in such a short amount of time!

It began with our early morning Eurostar train straight to Pari! Once we arrived we headed over to the Eiffel Tower, which I have to say got me all teary eyed- It is something i've dreamed about seeing for my entire life. We went all the way to the top, and after climbing all those stairs I do not intend on exercising this entire summer. Then we headed over to the Notre Dame, the architecture and the artwork was phenomenal, and yes we climbed to the top of that as well. We also saw the Arc de Triomphe and were lucky to catch the Flame Remembrance ceremony they hold at dusk. We also went to the Louvre where we saw the Mona Lisa- I will defiantly be going back there in my lifetime because there was so much I wanted to see but did not have the chance to. On top of all this there was much crêpes, wine, baguettes and cheese.

Wagamama

This past wednesday myself and one of my flat mates went to a restaurant called Wagamama. I must say it is one of my favorites! They serve a lot of pan-Asian foods. I ordered the spicy chicken noodle soup. The bowl was humongous as you can see. I could barely eat the whole thing but it was delicious! It has a very comfortable, laid back atmosphere. Perfect for going out with friends when your in the mood for something a little different.

Celebs On Sunday

When we aren't sightseeing/in class Kelly and I have been working at our internships. My internship is at Celebs on Sunday magazine. Most days I am working in the fashion cupboard. In the cupboard there's a lot of clothes that are used for the magazines photo shoots. It is my job to organize the clothing that needs to be sent to photo shoots. Also, once the clothes have been used we have to return it to the PR companies. Besides working in the cupboard I have been on two photo shoots! One was for pop star Kerri Hilson, the other for Paloma Vivanco who was a contestant on the british Apprentice TV show. When I'm at shoots I spend time helping the stylist in anyway I can, and doing lots of steaming! The above pictures show myself in the fashion cupboard and the buiding I work in.

Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace, one of Henry the IIV's favorite palaces out of all 60. This is where all six of his wives once lived. The Palace was absolutely beautiful and rich with artifacts, gardens and a maze. We especially loved the cafe where we ate a delicious apple fritter and a cold glass of Pimms.

Buckingham Palace/Kensington Gardens/Kensington Palace

Also, last weekend we wanted to see the Royal Family Palaces! At Buckingham Palace we noticed that the Union Jack Flag was up. This means that the Queen was home! After we had been to Buckingham Palace we walked though the Kensington Gardens which were beautiful. You can smell the blooming flowers as you walk. Kensington Palace is where Princess Diana used to live.

Harrods

Our first weekend in London we went to Knightsbridge which is a great area for shopping. Our favorite place was Harrods, one of the largest department stores in the world! Inside they have a tribute to Princess Diana. You can see her engagement ring to from Dodi and the last champagne glass she drank from that night at dinner.
